Love angels
Around St.Valentine’s day a friend of mine and I participated in a very entertaining workshop for making love angels. It was one of those very cold days when even your thoughts frozen. It took some time to find the office with large windows where the workshop was to be held. A young woman smiled at me and introduced herself – Angelina (what a better name for a „how-to-make-an-angel” teacher?!).
My friend arrived and we were ready to get initialized into the love-angel-making business. Angelina was giving as patterns to put and draw on the materials and with her guidance we were creating one by one the body of the angel, its dress, hands and head and wings. The whole process was very creative and enjoyable. Each of us could create two angels for the fee we had paid (12 BGN). We had to choose ourselves the design of the materials and the dresses our angels were wearing. Thanks to my lack of skillfulness when it comes to hand-work the dress of one of my angels became rather asymmetric so I decided to stick to this style, made a few slashes to it and called it The Tanguera. And of course I modeled her hands in the typical tango position. Last thing we had to put the heart of the angel making a wish. So there was also some magic involved.
Meanwhile more women (it seems men do not need angels…or are not into creating them) joined and started the same process. By the time we finished there were six of us around the table, including a teenage girl with her mother.
We also supported the ACTA protest which was taking place at the same time inSofiaby wearing its symbol sticker.
Angelina took pictures of us and was so nice to send them after.
At the end we got gifts from “I love” company – red heart with wings.
The workshop was supposed to take 1.30 hours but the birth of our angels took actually 3 hours. I felt very refreshed and full of light after. Angelic.
One of my angels accosted in Burgas at my sister’s home soon after. I kept The Tanguera. But the place of the one I gave was taken immediately – a close relative who had just come back fromGermanybrought me as a gift a tiny crystal angel. With so many angels around nothing can go wrong!
You can make your own angel or attend some of the other magical workshops of “CHUDO – sega” (Miracle – now, http://chudo-sega.com/). It is well worth it!
